Nelson Mandela Funeral 15/12.13

South African president Jacob Zuma has announced that former president Nelson Mandela's funeral will be held on Sunday, 15 December 2013 in the Eastern Cape village of Qunu.
Mandela's body will lie in state at government buildings in Pretoria from Dec.11 until the burial.

Nelson Rholihlahla Mandela age 95, died  after a prolonged lung infection at his home in Johannesburg on Thursday.His death has left a vacuum not a void.

 "With the passing of Nelson Mandela, the world has lost a towering statesman and the outstanding political leader of his generation.

"Mr Mandela's integrity, humanity and compassion were an inspiration to countless millions around the globe, and his influence transcended ideology, race and creed," Scotland first minister, Mr Salmond said.

 “I will never forget the time I spent with President Mandela.

“Even before I met him, he was one of my heroes. But during the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics in South Africa, I had the opportunity to stand with him in his former jail cell at Robben Island to light the torch, and his legend grew before my eyes.
“He told me about his struggles, his time in captivity, his persecution and oppression. Most people would have had nothing in their heart but revenge, but all President Mandela had was forgiveness", said Arnold Schwarzenegger. Nelson Mandela has not inspired only just us as South Africans, he has touched many people globally.

Three sisters getting married the same day because mother is dying.

Daughters of a Georgian woman, Becky Swales who is dying of breast cancer are set to marry on the 26th of October-because they want her to witness their wedding. She had been fighting breast cancer for more that 4years.

Swales girls all happened to be engaged at the same time. When the heartbreaking  news came out, Becky's community planned, donated and organized the event venue for the TRIPLE WEDDING. Her daughters described her as their role model and a friend which they can't imagine her not being able to see them walk down the aisle. What a wonderful community they have, helping like this so the mother can be there!

This should be a miracle cure for the mother-there are still good people in this world who band together when tragedy strikes. This leaves us with a big question. Do you have a community in where you are?

Angela Ahrendts leaves Burberry and joins Apple

Apple  announced it has hired the American,Angela Ahrendts chief executive officer of British fashion label Burberry- to become its senior vice president of retail. She is Apple's only woman executive.

She was born in 1960 in Indiana, she went to Ball State University. At the age of 29, she was president at the US fashion house Donna Karan. Some women are blessed.

Nissan’s New Golf Rival To Launch In 2014

Guillaume Cartier, Nissan’s vice president  of sales and marketing-- is planning a new mainstream C-segment hatchback that will take on the entire range of V.W models due in 2014. At the beginning of this year, in the reveal of the Invitation concept, product planning chief, Andy Palmer- told journalists that the forthcoming C-segment hatch would feature a few styling cues from that concept.
“The face is a little bit left field, a little bit edgy, you'll be familiar with it; it’ll evoke something from the past." This is from Mr Cartier. "When we went out and did our research we found that there were lots of customers who would never buy a crossover. So we knew that while we had the Juke and the Qashqai, we also needed a traditional B-segment model (the Nissan Note) and a C-segment hatchback.”

Worst breakfast food to avoid

We all have different definitions of breakfast. To me is the first meal taken after getting up from

a night's sleep--usually eaten in the early hours of morning… Breakfast is usually soft porridge taken with boiled eggs, or bread with jam, but nowadays we have different types of breakfast 

and worse thing is that some of us are either lazy or not having enough time  to prepare breakfast—decide to wolf down our left over pizza or McDonalds.

Eating bacon regularly in the morning know that one ounce of bacon contributes 30 milligrams of cholesterol not forgetting the cholesterol from fried the eggs that are always eaten with bacon-think also of the salt the bacon has. Ham and bacon are processed meats…. Know what you are doing when you order your English breakfast... Some researchers have concluded that regular consumption of processed meats may lead to higher risk for prostate cancer and other cancers.

We all like to eat a baked good for breakfast—like doughnuts, pancakes and muffins , but they aren’t great if eaten regularly. High fructose corn syrup which people often put in pancakes can lead to more abdominal obesity and visceral fat, that is stored between the organs—and can lead to cancer.

Sugary cereals  

Cereals are full of carbohydrates and sugar that make weight loss very difficult and can drain one’s  energy.. When you eat them, your blood sugar rapidly spikes and then bottoms out. Frosties and Choc pop and Rice Krispies were found to be the worst  sweet cereals by Food Standards Agency.
